This just in....

This is A.'s bag. She hasn't even seen it yet. It makes me go EEP everytime I look at it. I loveLoveLOVE this bag and, hopefully, she will too. It has shorter straps that the others have because she wanted more of a purse and less of a "Bag."

Here's an upclose view of the removable flower pin. Ain't it just cute?

Tea for MamaB

I brought my original bag to get together with friends and MamaB slobbered on my bag so much I promised to make her one so she'd quit drooling on mine. The result seems to suit her. Her raving review on her blog actually caused me to blush just a bit. I'm glad she loves it.

Podkayne's New Bag

Podkayne requested a bag large enough to accomodate her laptop. She chose the fabrics from my stash. I *think* this bag ended up being something she adores. You'd really have to just ask her...

Here are the promised photos. This is the bag that began it all. My first of this type.

I made some bags!

This saga began a few weeks ago when I decided I needed a new bag. I saw a super cute style (which I figured I could pull off) on Craftster. My stash and scrap piles are plenty high but, honestly, it can be difficult finding fabrics that speak to each other well enough to set next to the other in a bag for eternity. I've always considered myself to be more creative than artsy (and sometimes not much of either) so this matchy-matchy stuff was stretching the right side of the ol' grey matter a smidge. Anywho, this is my first bag. I am very proud of it. I took the time to do all the things that make it cool to make your own purse such as add a key hook, perfect size pockets for very specific things, etc. Green is by far my favorite color and the purple paired with it to make something stunning. It is a bit more countryish than I would purchase for myself but purple coneflowers hold a special place in my heart and I love it.
Unbelievably, I do not have a picture of my own bag. Harumph. Will remedy that in the morning.
